Amla Fruit

Amla (Emblica Officinalis) is a plant indigenous to the Indian subcontinent and is also known as Indian Gooseberry or Amalaki.  It is considered a divine plant in Ayurveda and is incredibly rich in vitamin C, giving it potent antioxidant and heart health benefits.  It is also believed to have anti-ageing benefits, preventing cellular damage and the breakdown of collagen; studies have also indicated that it may protect against Macular Degeneration by improving the mitochondrial health of eye cells.

It is commonly used to promote heart health and lower blood sugar levels, and  may also have a protective effect on the liver.  One of its main uses is in digestive health and it has been shown to reduce the frequency and severity of symptoms for sufferers of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).  It is also a powerful anti-inflammatory and immune booster.

Our Amla is made from the whole fruit, dried and ground into powder.
