Our pure, organic Cinnamon is Ceylon Cinnamon, also known as “true Cinnamon”.  It comes from the ground bark of the Cinnamomum Verum tree, native to Sri Lanka, and is the most expensive of the various cinnamon varieties but considered to have the greatest health benefits. Cinnamon is one of the best herbs for stabilising blood sugar, and can also increase the body’s sensitivity to insulin, making it of particular value for sufferers of type 2 diabetes.  Cinnamon is also beneficial to heart health as it appears to have the ability to improve cholesterol levels. Studies have shown that Cinnamon has potent anti-inflammatory properties; it is particularly valuable for inflammatory gut conditions as it also has antimicrobial properties which can improve gut health.  It may also support brain health due to its powerful antioxidant and neuroprotective effects.
