Turmeric

The main active ingredient in Turmeric is curcumin, a powerful natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compound with many therapeutic effects. Turmeric is often chosen by many arthritis sufferers to mitigate the pain and swelling caused by inflammation in the joints.

As well as being one of the most potent anti-inflammatories and antioxidants available, curcumin also boosts levels of the brain protein BDNF which increases the growth of new neurons and may help fight degenerative processes in the brain.

We also offer Turmeric with a small proportion of Black Pepper in our Turmeric & Black Pepper blend: piperine, a compound contained in black pepper, has been shown to significantly aid the absorption of curcumin in the body by up to 2000%.  We also offer this compound with the addition of Ginger, a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory in its own right, which in turn boosts the effectiveness of the other spices in a synergistic blend.
